Post A Clue

Letterpod is accepting audio (or video) clues! Now you can have a place to post that audio clue you always wanted to make. Can you say, “Audio Daily Double” Alex Trebek!

How to post an audio clue for a letterbox:

1) Record your clue. (See Podcasting Basics if you aren’t sure how)(I’ll accept video too!)

2) Convert the file to MP3 format if its not in this file format already. (iTunes or Audacity can do this) Please keep your files small (five minutes of audio is around 4MB) if you can.

3) Go to the YouSendIt, an online site that allows you to send large files to any email address for FREE (yes, it is free, do NOT check any of the $ boxes, it will send it). Set up a free account there. Send your message and file to jackbear’s email address. The file gets stored on YouSendIt’s server, and a message goes to jackbear with instructions to retrieve it. If you have any text you would like posted along with the sound file, please put this in the text of your email along with the title of your letterbox, and jackbear will post it in the “Clues” category.

4) Then you can list the clue on whatever website you like (LBNA, Atlas Quest, personal website/blog, etc.) and link to the audio clue at Letterpod. Or you can embed an audio player right in your clue posting by cutting and pasting the code from your audio clue into your clue text area (is not currently supported on Atlas Quest).
